What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Stability Program Coordinator position at United Way of Central Washington?
The Financial Stability Program Coordinator will develop and lead programs to enhance the financial stability of A.L.I.C.E. (low- and moderate-income) individuals and families. This role involves overseeing the Implementation of financial education, coaching, links to training and technical education, and related employment advancement opportunities through community partnerships to promote economic empowerment and self-sufficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Lead and manage financial stability programs, including F.E.O.C. operations, Financial Coach Identification and training, and case management.
- Funding and Grants: Work closely with the Executive Director and Director of Resource Development to Identify and secure funding through grant writing and partnerships, managing an annual budget and ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and mission-driven work environment. Other duties as assigned.
- Community Engagement: Collaborate with community partners, funders, and stakeholders to expand the impact of financial stability initiatives.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure program compliance, budget management, and operational efficiency to achieve organizational goals.
- Advocacy: Advocate for economic empowerment and financial stability within the community.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, financial background, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in asset building, program development, and grant writing is essential.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Proficiency in data management tools such as MS Excel and other relevant software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.

- Knowledge of surrounding communities and a general understanding of the needs.
Work Environment
- This position Is in-person/on-site In Yakima, WA.
- This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours to accommodate client needs and community events.
- Some travel within the community and to partner sites may be required.
