Description
The C4K Application Registration Specialist conducts a review of applications for the Care 4 Kids Program and takes appropriate action following defined procedures. The Application Registration Specialist also supports the Payment department and the Document Center. This position strives to fulfill the mission of United Way of Connecticut (UWC) at all times while at work.
What you will do:
- Develops in-depth knowledge of Care 4 Kids application processing system.
- Reviews and takes action on applications that need to be associated with existing cases.
- Reviews and identifies applications with file clearance errors. Reports these errors to the Business Analyst Team according to defined procedures.
- Completes data entry through application registration to create case numbers.
- Creates alerts and adds case notes into the subsidy system according to defined procedures.
- Performs scanning and indexing of documents into the subsidy system.
- Processes returned mail for the C4K program.
- Assists the Payment Department with invoice processing.
Other Functions:
- Provides back-up for Payment Department and Document Center responsibilities as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
When and where you will work: the hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30pm
After job training, the position will be hybrid (in office and remote).
The Pay & Benefits:
- $17.31 per hour base pay.
- $0.75 per worked hour for certified Spanish- or Portuguese-speaking staff ($1.50 per hour worked for both languages) after 90 days on the job.

Requirements
Who you are:
- High School Diploma/GED required with a minimum of one year’s office experience using a computer.
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficiency with MS Office applications required.
- Ability to follow strict guidelines with regard to the C4K application process.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in day-to-day duties.
- Solid written and verbal communication, listening, organization and priority setting skills.
- Ability to work and produce in a team environment.
- Ability to relate well with people from diverse groups.
- Ability to perform job with integrity and values consistent with the UWC Mission.
