What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Design position at United Way of Denton County?
Graphic Design
Assists Director of Marketing/Communications in planning, development, and execution of marketing collateral, infographics, social graphics, website graphics, and email design in support of UWDC community impact and resource development efforts. Under the supervision of Director of Marketing & Communications with 25 years in corporate and nonprofit CSR. This is a valuable internship with extensive opportunity for hands-on learning to build your skills and portfolio. Routine feedback provided with weekly meetings and evaluation.
Specific assignments/roles may be assigned in any of the following areas (depending on schedule and tenure):
- E-Newsletter design
- Brochures, Posters, Flyer Designs
- Infographic Design
- Sponsorship catalog design
- Print advertisements
- Website and social media graphics
- HTML
- Photo & Video capturing and editing
- Work collaboratively with multiple departments on projects or events that benefit the organization as a whole
- Other duties as assigned
Expected Work Schedule: Standard office hours (9:00am - 5:00pm)
Expected Hours per Week: 10-20 hours
Qualifications: Well-versed in Adobe Creative Suite Creative (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Knowledge of Premiere and/or After Effects a plus), strong creative skills, highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, computer savvy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and social media. Photography and videography skills a plus.
