Job Summary:
The Associate Director of Donor Operations will lead the Donor Operations Team in managing the processing collections and distribution of donor gifts and managing our CRM system, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of the processed donor data across various systems and databases. As a member of the Finance team, this individual will report to the Chief Administrative Officer and work closely and collaboratively with other members of the organization and external stakeholders to ensure we provide excellent service and implement efficient and effective financial processes. An ideal candidate would be a highly organized critical thinker, detail-oriented, and skilled learner committed to ensuring a high level of leadership and accountability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Donor Operations: Oversee daily operations, reporting, and process improvements for the donor management system.
- Generate Critical Reports: Create comprehensive donation reports and interactive dashboards for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Maintain Documentation & Processes: Document and standardize operating procedures to ensure consistency and knowledge retention.
- Manage Database Integrity: Execute database changes and conduct thorough system testing when updates or issues arise.
- Evaluate & Enhance Quality: Analyze current quality processes, recommend improvements, and implement changes to strengthen operations.
- Streamline Through Automation: Transform manual activities into efficient, repeatable processes through strategic automation.
- Foster Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to collect accurate donation data within established timelines.
- Adapt to Emerging Needs: Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as organizational priorities evolve.
What You'll Need: Education, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree, Advanced degree beneficial
- Experience: 8 years professional experience, 1 leadership or management experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in nonprofit organizations, management, or human services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, execute, and oversee multiple initiatives.
- Ability to present information and ideas clearly and persuasively to executive teams, volunteers, and the board of directors.
- Demonstrated success in collaborative work environments, group facilitation, and engaging leadership volunteers.
- Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Adaptability to change, with the ability to work independently and apply strong problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
