Job Summary
The Associate Director of Contracts and Compliance serves as a key member of the Community Impact Team, spearheading contracts and compliance efforts for 'A Home for All: Charlotte-Mecklenburg's Strategy to End and Prevent Homelessness.' The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented with excellent documentation, collaborative, a critical thinker, and able to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. In addition, the candidate should be a strong communicator with integrity, credibility, and knowledge of full-cycle contracting utilizing government funds. We are seeking a passionate professional dedicated to creating lasting solutions to homelessness in our community.

Responsibilities
- Manage Contract Lifecycle: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and amendments using approved templates, ensuring comprehensive compliance requirements and clearly defined scopes of work.
- Oversee Compliance Monitoring: Maintain a centralized system for tracking contracts, renewals, and key dates. Implement monitoring systems and conduct routine reviews of United Way's and sub-recipients' operations to verify performance against Federal, State, and local regulations and contract requirements.
- Ensure Program Integrity: Review sub-recipient client files and collaborate with partners and internal team to ensure contractual requirements and eligibility standards are met.
- Drive Knowledge Transfer: Develop and deliver comprehensive training on contract requirements and program procedures to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate Critical Communications: Coordinate complex correspondence, perform specialized research, and complete assigned projects to support organizational objectives.
- Maintain Documentation Excellence: Maintain meticulous contract records and documentation to ensure accessibility for audits and compliance verifications.
- Deliver Performance Analytics: Generate detailed reports on contract status, milestone achievements, and performance metrics in collaboration with the internal team.
- Adapt to Organizational Needs: Execute special projects and adapt to additional responsibilities as organizational priorities evolve.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, business, or impact-related discipline. Advanced degree, beneficial.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in nonprofit organizations, management, human services or related experience preferred.
- Familiarity with contract law, regulations, and legal requirements. Experience in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing contracts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively monitor multiple initiatives.
- Ability to manage large volumes of work with competing deadlines and priorities.
- Fosters a creative problem-solving environment with demonstrated success in collaborative work environments and group facilitation.
- Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Adaptability to change, with the ability to work independently and apply strong problem-solving skills.
