The Neighborhood Relationship Manager is an outwardly facing role accountable for leading our United Neighborhood efforts for the following corridors: Beatties Ford Rd/Rozzelles Ferry Rd, West Boulevard, Graham St. / North Tryon St, and Freedom/Wilkinson, Lakeview and Renaissance West. As a member of the Community Impact team, this individual will report to the Director of Community Initiatives and work closely and collaboratively with other members of the team and external stakeholders to create seamless organizational alignment with defined community impact strategies and programs. An ideal candidate would be a highly organized strategic thinker, experienced public speaker, and skilled learner committed to ensuring a high level of leadership, accountability and proven effectiveness establishing excellent external and internal collaborative relationships.

Accountability And Responsibilities
- Proactively collaborates with Community Quarterback and Block Building agencies to convene neighborhood service providers and create forums for shared learning around best practices in place-based work and collective impact initiatives
- Provides ongoing support to lead Community Quarterback agencies in developing and implementing a collective evaluation framework to support neighborhood revitalization efforts
- Proactively supports the community grant-making process, building relationships with grant applicants to bring additional information/context to residents during their review of letters of interest and applications; educating applicants on the collective impact model, goals, and the importance of data-sharing to enable program evaluation
- Creates, coordinates, and facilitates community grants panels, ensuring the panel is led by residents.
- Actively works with lead agencies to draft community partner agreements for grant recipients
- Actively collaborates with lead agency organizations to on-board new service providers, to include; training on racial equity, cultural humility, and neighborhood history, understanding of the fundamentals of place-based work, and provide ongoing support to new providers with program launch, and continuous support to ensure seamless implementation
- Support communication and relationship-building between and among Community Quarterback agencies and place-based service providers, managing and resolving conflict to build and reinforce participants' commitment to shared goals
- Participates in community events such as neighborhoods meetings, community events, etc.
- Represents and speaks on behalf of UW at community events, symposiums and other speaking events within the assigned communities
- Grows professionally through various avenues, but not limited to: online courses, in-person classes, seminars, conferences, books, etc.
- Serves as a proactive and contributing member to the UW team, performing duties and providing support outside of the functions listed above
- Constantly learning & actively participating in programs, trainings, and discussions regarding racial inequities, exclusions, oppressions.
- Appreciation of and willingness to work with and advocate for people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Consistently seeks to learn and understand the specific experiences of historically marginalized racial groups in the U.S., particularly Black, Indigenous, and Latinx groups.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferably in providing or coordinating place based services
- Strongly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Proficient in grant writing
- Strong meeting facilitation skills
- Minimum of 3 years non-profit experience
