What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Housing Security position at United Way of Greater Cincinnati?
GENERAL FUNCTION :
Manager of Housing Security will play a pivotal role in supporting United Way's housing security efforts. The manager will ensure individuals and families facing housing instability are supported through a variety of programs aimed at prevention, intervention, and long-term housing solutions. This position will oversee housing security initiatives; manage key partnerships with housing providers, funded partners, and housing security stakeholders; and provide direct support and guidance to partners and community members as needed.
United Way has a long history of serving as a backbone for collective impact efforts. This role will directly contribute to the success of those efforts by building and maintaining community relationships, supporting collaborative efforts with practitioners, leaders and families aimed to make a positive impact in the community, providing project management supports, supporting partner capacity building activities and data and evaluation. This role will work across several networks, including Project LIFT and partners collaborating to support improvements in housing security.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY :
Initiative and Project Management
Manage initiatives and projects independently, including :
- Tracking key community housing security outcomes and measurements to support continuous learning and improvement.
- Researching best-practices, trends, models and other activities.
- Collaborating with other staff to manage project level budgets and support / coordinate volunteers and corporate or community partners, as needed.
- Contributing to and implementing rigorous project management practices, including documentation of projects and key actions through charters, SOPs, and regular evaluation.
- Maintaining customer relationship management records (Salesforce CRM), electronic project records through Microsoft products (SharePoint, Teams, etc.), and regularly updating the progress of projects in a project management tools (Asana).
- Reporting verbally and in writing regularly to internal teams, leaderships, and external stakeholders (including funding partners and other investors) on updates and project goals.
