Position Summary: The Receipts Analyst contributes to the efforts of United Way of Greater Nashville (UWGN) by ensuring the receipt and accounting of funds due to the organization are applied timely and accurately in order to maximize cash flow and allow for the greatest use of funds in the community. This position is responsible for the accuracy of donor accounts making funding decisions possible allowing UWGN to accomplish its mission: to create a community where individuals, families, and neighborhoods thrive.

Cash Receipting and Application
• Review, code, and process ACHs for UWGN’S accounts receivable and ensures timely billing and receipt of payment.
• Assembles, codes, and keys all payment batches (deposits) showing the proper allocation of funds
• Assists in researching receipts for various departments
• Responds to all donor inquiries, reconciles donor statements, researches and corrects discrepancies
• Maintains files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Prepares monthly and quarterly billing statements to demonstrate UWGN as a good steward of funds and in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Reviews pledge receivables balances and reaches out accordingly to ensure timely of payment.
Qualifications:
• Experience:
o 2 years prior experience in billing, accounting, or finance related position preferred
• Skills and Knowledge:
o Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
o Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
o Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with donors and internal departments
o Ability to perform independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Environmental Conditions and Physical Demands:
