At United Way of Northeast Louisiana, we bring people together to solve our region’s toughest challenges. We’re looking for a Development Officer who’s passionate about community, driven by purpose, and ready to lead resource development efforts in the Lincoln, Union, and Jackson parishes market.
What You’ll Do:
As the Development Officer – Lincoln, Union, Jackson Market, you’ll play a key role in building meaningful relationships and raising critical resources to fuel our mission. You will:
Lead and grow workplace giving campaigns and individual donor outreach, including high-level donors (Steamboat Society)
Supervise the Campaign Manager – Ruston Market, providing support and strategic guidance
Cultivate new donor prospects and nurture long-term relationships with partners and supporters
Represent United Way at civic, community, and workplace events, sharing our story and impact
Ensure brand consistency in voice, messaging, and visuals across all donor communications and events
Coordinate all aspects of campaign logistics, from materials and messaging to speaker scheduling and data reporting
Partner with internal teams to align strategies and share insights
Who You Are:
You’re a relationship-builder, a communicator, and a motivator. You’re comfortable presenting to groups, managing multiple projects, and bringing people together for a cause.
You have:
A Bachelor’s degree
2–3 years of experience in fundraising, sales, nonprofit development, or community engagement
Strong public speaking, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of the Lincoln, Union, and Jackson business/nonprofit community (preferred)
Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel regularly within the region and to Monroe
