We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to staff, leadership, and volunteers
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate events
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations
  • Assist with organizing and attending community events to promote the mission of United Way and strengthen community engagement
  • Work with donor software to track donations, generate reports, and update records
  • Assist with fundraising campaigns, including outreach and donor communication
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with managing office supplies and equipment
  • Help with database management and other clerical tasks as needed
  • Assist with office coverage, ensuring smooth operation during office hours
  • Support internal communication efforts and help maintain a positive work environment
  • Coordinate and manage the paper distribution program for the organization
  • Support the use of online grant platform systems, assisting with application submissions and tracking
  • Maintain good social media presence and engagement to promote events and initiatives
  • Must work cohesively within a team to meet organizational goals
  • Ability to work some weekend or evening events as needed
  • Must have reliable transportation for occasional travel to community events and meetings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)
  • At least 1 year of administrative experience (nonprofit experience is a plus)
  • Experience working with donor or fundraising software is preferred
  • Familiarity with online grant platforms and systems is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to work some evenings or weekends as needed for events and outreach
  • Must have reliable transportation for travel as needed

Pay: $21.63 - $23.10 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
