What are the responsibilities and job description for the FT Skilled Nursing CNA, Day Shift position at United Zion Retirement Community?
Primary Essential Duties :
Prioritize resident-centered care, considering their unique needs and preferences.
Meets the established standards of care, in accordance with professional guidelines and regulations set by federal and state authorities.
Supporting compliance with all applicable regulations governing a Nursing Center is essential in delivering safe and effective care to the residents.
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) needs as indicated and in accordance with the stated standards of care.
Assist residents with ambulation, resident transport, and resident transfer needs as indicated and in compliance with all stated or written standards of care.
Assist residents with meals and mealtime as resident needs indicate. Includes setting up trays, feeding as indicated by resident need and identified on care plan, gathering and documenting percentage of meal consumption for each meal and snack.
Identify and report changes in resident condition to the appropriate Team Leader, including skin- and mental status changes, signs / symptoms of depression. Communicate changes between shifts.
Maintain tidy work environment, in residents- and utility rooms, staff stations, and central bath areas.
Promote the highest level of functioning and independence for all residents, through participation in restorative programming, activity programming, ADL independence per resident ability.
Assist with the development, review, and implementation of resident care plans in conjunction with nursing and other disciplines. Utilize care directives to ensure appropriate care delivery.
Document on all assigned residents including PointClickCare, Point of Care, CNA flow sheet documentation, toileting documentation, I&O as indicated, vital signs and resident weights.
Comply with all practices and policies for infection control measures and PPE.
Provide and maintain a safe work environment. Utilize appropriate transfer devices and correct body mechanics to promote safety for both the resident and team members.
Participate in fire and emergency drills.
Attend required 12 hours per year of CNA training, participate in additional in-service programs, and attend all required Team and CNA meetings.
Comply with all required and applicable online training.
Act as a liaison and ambassador between residents and their families.
Training : Attend all required in-service training, department meetings, all team meetings, participate in additional in-services, and attend monthly team meetings and quarterly all team meetings. Timely completes all required training.

Provide excellent customer service, maintain integrity, adhere to corporate compliance, and HIPAA policy.

Position Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent
Must have long-term care experience
Language Proficiency : Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Current Pennsylvania Certified Nursing Assistant license in good standing.
