Primary Essential Responsibilities:

Assisting with Medications and Treatments:
- Prepare, administer, and document medications and treatments.
- Record progress notes, including weights, vital signs, and other necessary documentation.
- Transcribe physician orders accurately.
- Notify the pharmacy of any changes in medication or refill needs.

Administrative Tasks:
- Process physician orders and faxes with precision.
- Review monthly orders and make necessary adjustments.
- Assist with admissions and discharges, including retrieving orders, faxing approvals to MDs, preparing medicine packets, and reviewing discharge items.
- Communicate upcoming resident appointments.

Emergency Situations:
- In cases of death, contact the administrator.

Observation and Communication:
- Observe and report changes in residents condition to Personal Care Aides (PCHAs), MDs, and family members following established protocols.
- Answer call bells promptly and respond to resident requests.

Assistance with Daily Living:
- Supervise, assist, or transport residents as needed.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Perform tasks such as bed making and tray service for ill residents.

Safety and Environment:
- Maintain a tidy and safe work environment, including the PC Care Center, resident rooms, and utility/storage areas.
- Measure and record residents heights, weights, and blood pressures.

Professional Development:
- Attend in-service opportunities and staff meetings regularly.
- Fulfill the required annual training related to job duties.
- Follow proper infection control procedures, including cleaning equipment after each use.

Resident Rights and Education:
- Ensure that residents rights are upheld.
- Complete annual education and training, including diabetic education.

Training:
- Attend all required in-service training, department meetings, all team meetings, and attend all quarterly team meetings. Timely completes all required training.

Customer Service & Compliance:
- Provide excellent customer service, maintain integrity, adhere to corporate compliance, and HIPAA policy.
- Time Management skills, quickly adapt to changes, be mentally alert.
- Flexible, caring, and ability for harmonious working relationships.
Position Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Certification Requirements: Medical Technician and CPR
- Experience: Minimum two years experience in similar role or specialized training
- Ability to use resident assist-devices, scales, wheelchairs, bed full mechanical lift, blood pressure apparatus, stethoscope, thermometer, glucometer, gait belt, and pulse oximetry essential.
- Knowledge of DHS regulations
