WellMed, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Nocturnist Hospitalist to join our team in Austin, TX. Optum is a clinician-led care organization that is changing the way clinicians work and live.
As a member of the Optum Care Delivery team, you'll be an integral part of our vision to make healthcare better for everyone
Position Highlights
- Hospitalist leads a collaborative and comprehensive health care team
- 7 Nights On / 7 Nights Off
- Take care of crossover calls, ER admissions, and transfers at night
- Only follow patients from a single payor system
- 100% of patients will have a WellMed primary care provider
- Quality vs. Quantity Model - Typical census per hospitalist is 10 to 13 patients per day
- Patient panel is limited to geriatrics with Medicare Advantage coverage
- Bonus metrics are vastly based on quality
