Position Location: 600 Rodeo Dr. Erlanger, KY 41018

Position Schedule: Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm

Primary Responsibilities:

• Engage with local team for regulatory surveys
• Organize/Schedule Nursing Agency Patient Services/Appointments
  • Verify referral approval prior to scheduling appointments
  • Ask patient questions to verify patient data or needs for scheduling
  • Manage patient referral process (e.g., review for duplicates, ensure referral is sent to appropriate agency)
  • Engage physician to obtain or provide information related to patient care (e.g. clarifying orders/notes)
  • Maintain open communication and rapport with physicians to promote patient services/care
  • Screens/forwards incoming calls from patients, nursing agencies, physicians, and health plans
• Demonstrate Business/Industry Knowledge
  • Demonstrate understanding of Federal privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety guidelines/practices (e.g., OSHA)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy to document patient information using standard language/medical terminology
  • Demonstrate understanding of managed care policies/procedures that apply to agency patient care
  • Demonstrate understanding of managed care practices/contract provisions to evaluate appropriateness of services (e.g., contracted providers, financial implications, relevant regulations)

Required Qualifications:

• 1 years of healthcare experience
• 1 years of customer service experience
• 1 years of call center experience
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working as a Medical Assistant
• Ability to manage multiple technology systems

The salary range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
