We seek a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Location: 302 Dulles Drive Suite P7 Lafayette, LA 70506; and you may be asked to help with PTO and call out coverage at our sites in Lake Charles, LA and Baton Rouge, LA
Schedule: The Pharmacy is open Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm CST with lunch from 12:00pm to 12:30pm CST and you would need to be able to work these hours for PTO and Call outs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
- Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
- Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
- Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
- Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
- Works with the Pharmacist to asset in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
- Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
- Communicates with solid professional verbal and written communication skills
- Occasional delivery of medications
- Occasional pharmacy errands
- Working with Clinic partner including doctors, nurses and other clinic staff
- Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Active and Unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Louisiana
- PTCB Certified
- Access to reliable transportation & a valid US driver's license
- Ability to use own vehicle to travel to other sites, make deliveries, and run errands when needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience
- Packaging experience
The salary range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
