Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical guidance in the creation, implementation, and refinement of an Oncology utilization management solution
- Serve as a subject matter expert in evidence-based oncology guidelines – especially those produced by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) – and help ensure all clinically relevant policies and processes are informed by the best available evidence
- Research upcoming drug releases and treatment guidelines, develop and maintain pharmacy programs, such as formulary lists, drug utilization review, prior authorization, health outcomes, disease state management, care management, and other specialty programs. May also include presenting at Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee.
- Interpret pharmacy programs to write clinical guidelines, job aids, and decision trees. Write and collaborate on member/provider collateral materials for pharmacy programs
- Work on program implementation teams and contribute to business process design and systems set up & updates
- Support utilization review determinations for oncology populations, and broader case and disease management teams to achieve optimal clinical outcomes
- Evaluate clinical and other data (e.g., quality metrics, claims & health record data, utilization data) to identify opportunities for improvement of clinical care and processes
- Serve as Clinical Lead for assigned clients to advise on Oncology Prior Authorization List creation, Preferred Strategy opportunities and tool functionality

Required Qualifications:
- BS in Pharmacy or PharmD Degree
- Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license
- 5 years clinical pharmacy experience
- 2 years of clinical oncology experience advising on chemotherapy and supportive therapy treatment plans (utilizing/reviewing medical case notes, medication list, lab results)
- Experience utilizing, interpreting, and critically evaluating NCCN, ASCO, and ESMO Guidelines to make evidence-based treatment decisions and treatment recommendations
- Experience in one or more of the following: managed care, medical care delivery systems, utilization management, case management, disease management, quality management, product development or peer review
- Experience working collaboratively across clinical and non-clinical team to gain credibility, influence and partner with other oncology professionals
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP)
- Managed Care experience (e.g., Utilization Management, criteria development, Clinical Pathways development)
- Working knowledge of radiation treatment plan
- Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee experience
- Experience in client-facing roles
- Clinical Trial experience

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
