As the Senior Software Engineer, you will develop clinical decision support (CDS) knowledge algorithms using HL7 standards, such as Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPG)-on-FHIR. This CDS knowledge powers applications to help clinicians order the most effective and appropriate medications and therapies at the point of care and to identify patients who may benefit from outreach to optimize their medical care. This role will translate semi-structured logic (e.g., decision tables, decision trees, and value sets) into structured code using Clinical Quality Language (CQL), FHIR, and FSH (FHIR shorthand). While it is not necessary that the candidate have experience with CPG-on-FHIR, experience in commercial software development is required. It is expected that with 4-6 months of training, the person in this role will attain the expertise to develop, test, and deploy CPG-on-FHIR CDS content independently.
