Primary Responsibilities
- Analysis and fluctuation research for Illinois market with annualized revenues of $2.2B and members of 12.6M
- Managing the unique ACEC modified minimum premium agreement of $53M annually
- Communicating with internal teams such as Underwriting, Billing & Enrollment
- Assigned team tasks including recording journal entries, completing tie-outs, account reconciliations, quarterly & annual requirements, ad-hoc requests
- Assisting with audit requests
- Maintains and enhances processes to ensure accuracy and minimize risk to financial statement reporting while reconciling, analyzing and reviewing financial transactions in preparation of month end close
- Develops and maintains internal control processes and standard operating procedures
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field
- 1 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field
- Basic level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Access
- Sound business knowledge and strong decision-making skills
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements
- Proven ability to communicate in an effective manner
- Proven ability to collaborate with peers to complete projects
- Demonstrates the drive and motivation to deliver high quality results based on thorough analysis
