This role’s primary function is to perform and/or facilitate functions ensuring Retrospective and HEDIS® quality reporting requirements are met in accordance with NCQA, CMS and State technical specifications. Position will support accurate and timely issue resolution and data reporting and provide overall Retrospective support for Commercial, Medicare & Medicaid submissions This position reports to the Manager, Quality Reporting Operations.
The position is able to telecommute; however, work hours are Eastern time zones.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform and/or facilitate functions ensuring Retrospecitve and HEDIS® quality reporting requirements are met in accordance with NCQA, CMS and State technical specifications
- Support accurate and timely issue resolution
- Collaborate with applicable internal stakeholders to obtain in-depth information / data about internal requirements for technology supporting Quality Optimization and Insights
- Gather and document requirements focused on process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and/or evaluation of business processes and/or configuration
- Develop and support tools to assist with analysis to evaluate material change in year over year performance
- Automate or enhance processes utilizing external vendor platforms that translate to improved efficiencies
- Anticipate potential barriers and proactively develops solutions to safeguard processes
- Monitor the data flow from vendors to confirm no gaps and issues with load process
- Serve as a team support resource on complex and / or critical issues
- Review work performed by others to ensure accuracy
- May support functional or segment teams or projects
- Provide explanations and information to others on complex issues
- Work with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex tasks
- Support the development of ad-hoc reports

Qualifications:
- 4 years of process improvement, quality, data analytic equivalent related experience
- 3 years HEDIS® or CMS Star Rating experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize deliverables
- Ability to successfully communicate to various matrixed cross functional teams.
- Experience pulling, manipulating, massaging, and analyzing large data sets from various sources
- Successfully managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proven solid project management experience (developing project plans, working with project teams, managing project timelines, driving project through completion)
- Intermediate level of experience with MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
- Healthcare quality experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Systems Analyst or Business Analyst experience
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Access, MS SQL and VBA
- experience developing and implementing process improvement project plans driven by data analytics

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
