We are looking for a Data Strategy Director to join Translation! Please note that this role is a Hybrid role: three days in office and two days remote.

Salary Hiring Range: $135,000 - $160,000
Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide (e.g. bonus, stock options, 401(k) match, etc.)
Individual pay rate decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors.
The range above is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
The salary range above is for the NY/CA. As a company, we have a location based strategy, which means the salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired in another location.

What You'll Do
- Establish deep knowledge of client businesses to make relevant, measurable, and impactful strategic recommendations
- Lead the ideation, development and execution of measurement strategies and frameworks across a portfolio of client accounts
- Build and maintain dashboards to meet multiple client team needs
- Lead development and ensure accuracy of on-going performance marketing reports
- Translate data into actionable insights for departments across the agency
- Posit audience understanding that drives impact of ideation
- Foster collaboration among inter-agency teams and media partners
- Present as an inspiring, persuasive author who is comfortable in many rooms
- Partner with other outstanding strategists on your team to guide and maintain the excellence of our core strategic product.
- Ability to understand database creation and maintenance of data systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy of inputs and performing quality checks throughout.
- Experience with social data tools (e.g., Brandwatch)
- Ability to research and drive initiatives independently with a strong sense of discipline and responsibility
- Confidence communicating findings and methodology with senior executives and teammates with conviction
- Ability to translate complex, mathematically-based and/or abstract ideas into solid, tangible expressions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to prepare clear and concise client-ready documents
- Have a curious mind and a passion for understanding what drives consumers & culture
- Aptitude for data visualization
- Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrating the ability to thrive in uncertain situations
- 7 years of digital media analytics and insights development experience
- Media/marketing performance comprehension: An understanding of the media landscape, ability to determine which channels and audiences are most appropriate based on business objectives, and experience using the data to make recommendations
- Proficiency using data analytics to recommend solutions to improve digital-first creative performance and on-going performance optimization
- Sharp analyzation skills in application of assessing a multitude of data sets
- Skillful at assessing the performance of multiple creative campaigns in relation to audience data accurately and in compressed timelines
- Ability to identify and define key performance indicators (KPIs) that impact tactics
- Experience informing business and creative development by evaluating campaign effectiveness, audience engagement, and content performance
- Capacity to actively remove barriers and define next steps to drive projects forward despite ambiguity
- Experience with advanced analytics within media performance data
- Latin-informed with concrete experience targeting/understanding the Latinx/Hispanic-American audience
