Job Description:
Shifts are in CST and they can be worked in-house (Hillside), remote or hybrid.
This position is distinguished from a fill technician position by its focus on entering orders into our pharmacy information system and conducting customer service phone calls. The Data Entry Tech will ensure that medication orders received from our nursing homes customers are entered promptly and accurately into Framework LTC software.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Input orders in a timely and accurate manner using Framework Order Entry system - order Entry for new/refill medications
- Respond to customer inquiries as necessary
- Verify all information is complete on the prescription
- Sort prescription orders to appropriate departments/areas
- Communicate with facilities to alert them to any issues during the data entry process
- Update the patient profile with all the necessary information from the prescription. Ensuring that patient’s allergies, therapies, and current medication are updated
- Assist with finding lost or missed orders on request
- Answer inbound facility phone calls
- Other duties as assigned
Skills:
- Ability to analyze, read and interpret doctor’s orders
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be flexible
- Must possess good mathematical skills
- Must possess good customer service skills
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be familiar with brand/generic drug names and general pharmacy terminology
- Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills
Requirements
- High school Diploma/ GED
- Certified Illinois Pharmacy Technician License if licensed after 2008
- 2-3 years experience as Data Entry in a retail setting/Long Term Care Pharmacy preferred
- Experienced in Framework and Docutrack preferred
