Job Description :
The Safety Specialist position will be responsible for ensuring that all safety standards are met within the company.
Job Responsibilities :
- Maintains records and files of all surveys, inspections and incidents to assure compliance with UniTek corporate, state, and federal requirements pertaining to reporting hazardous incidents, motor vehicle accidents and personal injuries
- Advises employees on how to prevent and reduce safety incidents
- Conducts continuing safety education training in safe work practices to maximize safety and generate a responsible employee attitude towards safety
- Perform regular and frequent on-site safety audits for both Subcontractors and in-house employees
- Participates in selected OSHA and Safety Certification courses as directed by UniTek Management
- Other duties as assigned
