What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing/Plant Manager position at Unitex?
Plant Manager
Unitex is currently seeking a Plant Manager to oversee the production team in our industrial plant located in Mount Vernon, NY (just over the Bronx border with accessible transit lines).
The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors.
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 5:30AM start - end time is when the jobs are completed
MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK ADDITIONAL HOURS WHEN NEEDED.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain individual and department performance at established standards
- Directly manage two Assistant Plant Managers, up to five (5) Production Supervisors and all plant employees
- Ensure production levels and productivity goals are achieved
- Maintain daily reports
- Hire, Train and discipline employees as a means for achieving goals
- Oversees high level of quality of product being sent to customers
- Ensure that Unitex policies and procedures are implemented and followed
Job Requirements:
- 5 years managerial experience running a plant in a production/service environment
- Conversant in English and Spanish preferred
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic work setting
- High degree of customer responsiveness
- Understands production workflow / MS Office
- Proven ability to manage to standards
