About the Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at Uniti Med in New Jersey. As a key member of our radiation therapy department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer using linear accelerators and other equipment is a critical aspect of this role.
- You will collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and ensure effective patient care.
- Maintaining accurate records of patient treatments, including dosimetry calculations and treatment summaries, is essential.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to a culture of excellence within the radiation therapy department is also crucial.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or a related field is required.
- Current certification as a Radiation Therapist (RT) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is mandatory.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist in a hospital or outpatient setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, are necessary.
