Cath Lab Technologist Job Description
This position involves working as a Cath Lab Technologist in a travel setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in catheterization labs and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic Procedures: Assist physicians with diagnostic procedures such as coronary angiograms, peripheral vascular studies, and electrophysiology studies.
- Care of Patients: Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring that patients are comfortable and informed throughout the procedure.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot equipment used in the cath lab to ensure optimal performance.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, and radiologic technologists, to achieve shared goals.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Certification: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS).
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a cath lab setting, preferably in a hospital or clinical environment.
