This assignment requires a skilled travel nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic Labor and Delivery environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
The successful candidate will have experience in providing care for patients in various stages of labor, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum. They will also be responsible for performing routine assessments, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
A valid RN license, current certifications in BLS and NRP, and at least one year of recent experience in Labor and Delivery are required for this role. Additionally, the candidate must be able to pass a background check and provide references from previous employers.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to mothers and newborns in various stages of labor and delivery
- Conduct routine assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement interventions as needed
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatments administered
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams regarding patient care and progress
Requirements:
- Valid RN license
