Position Summary: The Loan Quality Control Specialist is responsible for managing risk to the Bank by performing a variety of quality control functions in partnership with commercial, real estate, and consumer loans to verify the accuracy of documents and completeness of loan files.

Position Summary: The Loan Quality Control Specialist is responsible for managing risk to the Bank by performing a variety of quality control functions in partnership with commercial, real estate, and consumer loans to verify the accuracy of documents and completeness of loan files.
Responsibilities/Accountabilities
- Loan Quality Control Review: Perform pre- and post-closing quality control reviews verifying accuracy of loan documents to both regulatory standards as well as internal controls and processes. Review documentation for completion and accuracy, including but not limited to, checklists, loan collateral, lending authority approval as outlined in loan policy, and communicate any deficiencies or expectations with the lending team.
- Collaboration: Partner with departments including Compliance, Lending, and Internal Audit to support and resolve any audit findings and share findings and recommendations for enhancing processes and procedures.
- Loan File Maintenance: Conduct daily loan file maintenance reviews.
- FNMA Portfolio: Responsible for balancing and reporting of the FNMA portfolio.
- Loan Maintenance: Conduct loan file maintenance and review as needed once information is uploaded into the core system.
- Compliance: Maintain an in-depth understanding of loan policy and process to identify exceptions to policy. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, privacy policies, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures.
- Market Research: Stay up to date on market data, research industry specific information from outside sources including industry publications and references from other banks.
