ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES: This is an on site position - remote work is not available
· Strategic Leadership – Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company’s overall goals and objectives.
· Technology Vision – Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends and make recommendations for their adoption and implementation.
· IT Operations & Infrastructure Management – Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department and infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software, ensuring its reliability, performance, and security.
· Project Management – Manage IT projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
· IT Support – Oversee the IT support function, ensuring timely and effective resolution of user issues and requests.
· Cybersecurity – Develop and implement robust cybersecurity strategies and protocols to protect the company’s data and systems from threats.
· Data Management – Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
· Risk Management – Identify and mitigate IT-related risks, ensuring Agency continuity and disaster recovery preparedness.
· Policy & Procedure Development – Develop and implement IT policies, procedures and standards.
· Team Leadership – Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
· Vendor Management – Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The IT Director may be required to perform lifting of objects weighing less than 50 pounds. Must be capable of effective verbal and written communication with individuals served, families, co-workers vendors, and visitors. Must be capable of moving intermittently throughout the day and performing such activities as climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, pushing, pulling, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, reading small print, repetitive motions, standing, bending, walking, sitting, stooping and driving.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
The IT Director is subject to an office work setting with the ability to operate standard office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and 10-key punch calculator.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technology field; Master’s Degree preferred.
· Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in IT leadership roles, with at least five years in a senior management position.
· Strong technical background in areas such as networking, server administration, and cyber security
· Ability to think strategically and translate business needs into technology solutions
· Experience managing large-scale IT projects effectively and within budget
· Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
· Must possess a valid South Carolina Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driving record
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to write the English language in a legible manner, familiar with most operating systems, strong trouble-shooting skills, ability to relate harmoniously with co-workers, ability to follow directions, maintain confidentiality of sensitive information at all times, ability to learn quickly, be flexible and adapt to job/organization changes and alter activities to meet demands of new situations, knowledge of filing and record keeping techniques, ability to work independently, ability to complete quality work in a timely manner, ability to exercise independent judgment. Must also be extremely detail oriented, organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately.
