Key Responsibilities : Monitoring System Administration : Deploy, configure, and manage network monitoring platforms, including NetCool, SolarWinds, and related tools.Proactive Monitoring : Develop dashboards, alerts, and reporting mechanisms to monitor network health, addressing issues proactively.System Integration : Integrate monitoring tools with other IT systems to enhance visibility and streamline operations.Optimization & Tuning : Analyze and optimize monitoring configurations for performance and scalability.Troubleshooting : Collaborate with IT and network teams to resolve monitoring-related issues.Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation for monitoring configurations and troubleshooting procedures.Compliance : Ensure monitoring systems comply with security standards and regulatory requirements.Team Collaboration : Define monitoring requirements and implement solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.Requirements : Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience (education may substitute for experience).Active Secret Clearance.Proficiency in managing tools like NetCool, SolarWinds, or Nagios.Strong understanding of network topologies, SNMP, Syslog, and NetFlow.Experience with scripting and automation using tools like PowerShell or Python.Familiarity with databases (SQL preferred) and API integrations for monitoring tools.Preferred Qualifications : Relevant certifications, e.g., SolarWinds Certified Professional (SCP), Cisco CCNA / CCNP, or equivalent.Experience in enterprise-scale or government IT environments.Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and service management best practices.Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or SOC 2.
