Currently preparing for the largest campaign in our history, the Foundation is seeking a Manager, Marketing & Communications to join a highly motivated team of professionals and play an integral role in shaping and delivering future marketing efforts.
The incumbent will collaborate extensively with Foundation teams, hospital staff, vendors and key community stakeholders to achieve aggressive strategic outcomes and support substantial fundraising targets.

Position :
Reporting to the Vice President, Communications & Donor Engagement, the Manager, Marketing & Communications will deliver the annual marketing and communication plan and equip the Foundation with the marketing content required to achieve success. This includes driving brand awareness within our community and our health centre, providing strategic direction for all marketing (including digital) efforts and strategically resourcing the production of multi-channel marketing materials through a mix of in-house, outsourced resources.
Strategy direction and execution are required to support our comprehensive campaign, major gift engagements, community events, stewardship touch-points, community giving and planned giving programs.
Collaboration, creativity and project management are critical to the success of this role. As part of a small and nimble team, incumbent will be comfortable rolling up ones sleeves and helping with execution - including copywriting, light graphic design and / or coding, managing print production.
The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic thinker, exceptional project manager and clear communicator who enjoys creating content. They have deep experience in managing digital channels and know how to chart unknown territory. They are personable and easy to work with; a strong team player. They will know our west end community well and will help mobilize the Foundation team; build awareness of the Health Centre; and deliver the assets to help raise critical funds.
Roles and Responsibilities :
Support VP with brand development, marketing campaign delivery and internal brand education.Develop marketing strategies and deliver creative, ensuring all efforts are on brand.Develop and execute the annual marketing communications plan, in consultation with internal stakeholders.Drive alignment with internal teams and agencies by leading the creative briefing process as well as serve as the key project manager to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.Develop a routine forum for sharing marketing plan and content with internal teams and key stakeholders, as necessary.Oversee digital channels and communications, as key channels for delivery of marketing plan and building brand awareness.Write marketing copy, speaking notes, press releases, letters and other items, as necessary.Instill efficient management routines, such as management team updates, regular status meetings with vendors and internal teams to gain alignment on plans.Build and manage relationships with hospital colleagues, vendors, and media partners.Liaise with appropriate hospital leads to ensure accuracy of information in all communications materials.Leverage data to inform strategies that start with the donor.Engage and present with confidence to cross-functional teams, including senior leaders.Manage annual budget planning, forecasting and regularly track budgetQualifications :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience / training required;Minimum of 5 years required of progressively responsible fundraising and marketing experience, with experience working in a Foundation setting strongly preferred;Strong project management and collaboration skills, including the ability to effectively lead in situations without formal influence;Capable of creating and maintaining complex marketing strategies, plans and programs;Exceptional interpersonal skills and judgment;Ability to work with groups / teams;Demonstrated ability to manage varying volumes and priorities in a fast-paced environment;Self-starter with ability to work independently;Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential and privileged information with discretion;Growth-minded individual / people leader; direct report experience an asset;Excellent knowledge of all MS Office applications;Relevant donor software / database experience (such as Raisers Edge, Luminate);Excellent verbal and communication skills;Experience working with a diverse group of volunteers.Compensation
Salary range is between $70,000-$90,000, commensurate with experienceExtended health benefits, a pension program, four weeks of vacation
