- Education : A College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or related field preferred.
- Training and Experience : Minimum three years of experience with computer operations / operating systems and / or software applications preferred. Solid working knowledge of current technologies. Hands-on software troubleshooting experience preferred. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
- Job Knowledge : Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Adept at conducting research into software-related issues and products. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. Strong written and oral communication skills. DESCRIPTION :
Under direct supervision of the Lead Applications Systems Analyst, the Applications Systems Analyst role is to strategically facilitate the organization’s application needs including but not limited to support of the MEDITECH system, assist in resolving application issues as they arise from day to day, and assist Information Technology support technicians as needed. They will be responsible for ensuring applications are available to end users, accurate, and thoroughly tested. They will also assist in system startups in a timely and accurate fashion and will provide support to other departments where required. Responsible for one shift, five days per week. Incumbent is subject to overtime, on-call duty and call back as required by the organization.
Physical Effort : Works in well-lighted, air-conditioned office. Some travel is required.
Mental Effort : Position is prone to many interruptions and repetitive tasks.
