Job Description:

Are you passionate about echocardiography and looking for an exciting career opportunity? We’re seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team. As an Echo Tech, you will perform cardiac ultrasound procedures (e.g., transthoracic, transesophageal, stress) to diagnose and assess cardiac conditions. You’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality patient care through accurate and thorough testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures using various equipment and techniques.
• Identify cardiac abnormalities and adjust examinations as needed.
• Assist physicians in the operating room by performing echocardiograms.
• Work closely with cardiologists to perform transesophageal studies and related tasks.
• Prepare patients, obtain clinical histories, and explain procedures.
• Perform daily maintenance on Echocardiography Lab equipment.
• Collaborate with the cardiac sonographer quality coordinator to maintain and improve quality standards.
• Support IAC accreditation activities as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Knowledge of complex sonographic principles, instrumentation, and techniques.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to explain procedures and answer patient questions.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and patient confidentiality laws.
• Skilled in using medical equipment and computers.
• Ability to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography program or 2 years of related work experience.
• Experience: 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Certifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification within 6 months of hire.
