Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QC Analytical Specialist with expertise in Gas Chromatography (GC) to join our Quality Control team. The ideal candidate will perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure quality and regulatory compliance. You will work with state-of-the-art GC equipment to conduct routine analyses, troubleshoot technical issues, and assist with method development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and non-routine GC analyses on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods in compliance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and calibrate GC instruments and associated equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.
- Interpret and analyze GC data, identifying trends, outliers, and potential quality issues.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all testing activities, including instrument logs, calibration records, and analytical results.
- Conduct investigations and troubleshoot analytical issues, resolving discrepancies or non-conformances.
- Assist in method validation, development, and optimization of new GC testing protocols.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements, including FDA and ISO standards.
- Support the QC team in preparing for audits and inspections.
- Participate in training and development programs to stay current with analytical techniques and regulatory changes.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment in accordance with safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field.
- years of hands-on experience with Gas Chromatography in a QC/analytical laboratory.
- Strong knowledge of GC instrumentation, sample preparation, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and FDA regulations.
- Experience with method validation and stability studies is a plus.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and present results clearly.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with related techniques (e.g., HPLC, Mass Spectrometry).
- Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures.
- Proficiency with laboratory software and data management systems.
Required Certifications
- GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry).
