Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of patient care. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing the nursing department, including the development and implementation of nursing policies, staffing, budgeting, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills while maintaining a focus on patient safety and care excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and evaluate the nursing staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department to ensure quality care delivery and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance patient care and safety.
- Work closely with senior leadership to establish and maintain departmental goals and objectives.
- Monitor and manage nursing budgets, staffing schedules, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local health regulations and accrediting agency standards.
- Act as a liaison between the nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members to promote optimal patient care.
- Provide support and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Review patient care assessments and treatment plans to ensure adherence to best practices and evidence-based standards.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new regulations, and best practices in nursing care.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license in the state of [State].
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred.
