We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead and manage all aspects of our hospital’s pharmacy operations. This leadership role is critical in ensuring safe, effective, and compliant pharmaceutical services across the organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop pharmacy staff to achieve departmental goals.
- Develop, implement, and enforce pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Manage pharmacy budget and ensure cost-effective operations and productivity.
- Maintain accountability for all aspects of pharmacy accreditation and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership on strategic planning, quality improvement, and clinical program development.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required.
- Advanced degree preferred (PharmD, MS, or MBA).
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience.
- At least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Strongly preferred: experience in a for-profit hospital setting.
- Proven experience in clinical services, budget oversight, program development, and productivity improvement.
- Exceptional interpersonal and human relations skills.
Licensure:
- Must hold or be eligible for a New Mexico Pharmacist License.
