We are currently seeking a Radiation Therapist to perform radiation therapy procedures under the guidance of a Radiation Oncologist. You’ll be part of a dedicated team that ensures patients receive top-notch care while adhering to established protocols for diagnosis and treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality radiation therapy procedures as per physician orders, adhering to protocols and safety standards.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of procedures while maintaining high production quality.
- Communicate effectively with patients using the AIDET method to establish rapport, address service requirements, and confirm exam accuracy.
- Educate patients and families about procedures and assess their ability to tolerate the exam.
- Position patients, adjust immobilization devices, and operate equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions.
- Assist with inventory control and maintain accurate patient documentation.
- Work with engineers and physicists to optimize equipment capabilities and address technical issues.
- Ensure patient safety by screening and following infection control and radiation safety policies.
- Provide first aid and respond to emergencies as needed.
- Participate in continued education and contribute to the training of new team members.
