Job Title: Radiology Technician
Location: Traverse City, MI 49684
Position Type: Contractor (Onsite)
Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM (40 hours per week)
Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $52.41 per hour
- Overtime: Eligible after 40 hours worked

- Call Duty: Week of second call (2-3 times per month) and rotating second call month for one week
Position Summary:
Munson Healthcare is seeking a skilled and reliable Radiology Technician to join our R1 Radiology department. This role involves performing x-ray exams for inpatient, ER, and OR service lines, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and working with a variety of equipment in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, be ARRT certified, and hold a current BLS certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform x-ray exams for inpatient, ER, and OR service lines
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure patient comfort
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals for clear images
- Position patients and equipment, explain procedures, and monitor patient safety
- Adjust scan sequences and monitor video display for optimal images
- Record data and report critical information to the physician
- Manage daily procedure schedules and radiographic supplies
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions and scheduling appointments
- Conduct equipment maintenance and emergency repairs
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Certifications: ARRT Registry, BLS
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Radiology Technician
- EMR System: Cerner
- Skills: Ability to work in the OR, trauma bay, and with in/outpatients
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with trauma and emergency radiology
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
