Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room department. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in urgent and critical situations, demonstrating exceptional clinical judgment and a compassionate approach. Duties
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency setting.
- Perform critical procedures including spinal taps, ostomy care, and neonatal ventilator management.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.
- Engage in hospice palliative medicine practices as needed for end-of-life care.
Experience
Candidates should possess a valid Registered Nurse license with relevant experience in an emergency room or acute care setting. Familiarity with occupational health practices, home community care, memory care, and CT imaging is preferred. Experience with lifting techniques for patient handling is essential. The ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple priorities is crucial for success in this role.
