Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line care in the Emergency Room, delivering immediate support to stabilize patients and minimize long-term effects of medical issues.
- Use advanced nursing skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving to assess, plan, and implement care for patients with diverse medical needs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to monitor and adjust care plans for optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and self-care to promote independence and long-term health.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, discharge planning, and ensure high-quality patient care in line with regulatory standards.
- Manage resources and supplies effectively, contributing to cost-efficient care delivery.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Associate degree in Nursing (required). BSN or current enrollment in BSN program (preferred).
- Licensure: Current Registered Nurse License in Illinois (required).
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (required).
- Experience: 1-3 years of ER experience (required). SANE certification preferred.
- Skills: Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced situations, excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and patient care coordination skills.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time with 12-hour shifts: 7AM-7:30PM, 11AM-11PM, or 7PM-7:30AM.
