Job Title: RN Medical/Surgical - 4th Floor Med/Surg (3-Month Contract)
Location: West Des Moines, IA
Position Type: 3-Month Contract, Contractor Onsite
Hours: Full-Time, 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts, 3 days a week)
Shift Timings: 07:00 AM - 07:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Hourly Pay Rate:
- Non-Local: $57.00/hr (includes taxable component of $40.75/hr $16.25/hr per diem )
- Local (within 60 miles): $44.55/hr
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for a 3-month contract position on the 4th Floor Med/Surg unit. As part of this dynamic team, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring patient care plans, ensuring effective communication, and coordinating care with the healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have Med/Surg telemetry experience and a commitment to delivering quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, adjusting as necessary based on patient conditions.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to appropriate staff.
- Serve as the primary coordinator for all healthcare disciplines to ensure well-coordinated care.
- Carry out physician and nursing orders as prescribed.
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical/Surgical setting.
- Experience with Med/Surg telemetry care required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Must provide 2 professional references.
Work Environment:
- Onsite position at a hospital located in West Des Moines, IA.
- 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, total of 36 hours/week.
- 3-month contract duration.
