Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient care, ensure safety, and provide emotional support to patients and families. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care in a medical/surgical setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient conditions, including vital signs, and document changes.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and update patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license in [state].
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, but not required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Prior experience in a Medical/Surgical unit is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $58.97 per hour
