Location: Parkersburg, WV 26101
Shift: Night Shift /7:00 PMEnd:7:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours : 36 hrs per week
Pay Rate : $40/hr.

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including clinics and facilities that support individuals with developmental disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Duties

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Perform nursing procedures such as gastric lavage, IV insertion, venipuncture, and catheterization.
• Assist in airway management and monitor patients' vital signs.
• Participate in discharge planning and provide education to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately using electronic health records systems such as Cerner.
• Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their comfort and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license in the WV
• Experience working in clinical settings preferred; familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
• Proficient in performing nursing tasks such as IV insertion, venipuncture, catheterization, and gastric lavage.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Knowledge of discharge planning processes and patient education techniques.
• Ability to manage airway emergencies effectively.
• Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
