Associate's Degree in Human Resources/Related Field and a minimum of two years experience in the area of human resources with payroll processing experience required. Demonstrates skill in analyzing and interpreting human resources related knowledge, information, principles and practices; demonstrates accuracy in working with large amounts of information/data. Strong knowledge and understanding of insurance regulations, plan designs, and third party record keeping/administration required. Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA, etc. and related NYS and Federal regulations required. Course work/seminar attendance in the benefits areas helpful (ACA, etc.). Experience and demonstrated skill with payroll database systems, word processing and Excel, and other computer based software (HRIS). Ability to exhibit exceptional communication skills (oral and written) to internal/external stakeholders; demonstrated acceptance of disabled persons; ability to work independently, be creative and demonstrate initiative, flexibility with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work under time constraints and deadlines. Valid and acceptable NYS driver's license per organization policies, practices, procedures. Infrequent travel required.
