What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at Unity Meals?
Job Summary:
As a Production Worker you are responsible for the production of food products. The Production worker will rotate through all areas of production ranging from: Line Supply, Pulling Supply, Adding or Filling production line and packaging.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assemble frozen and fresh food products
- Perform assignments in accordance with established safety policies and procedures
- Ensure sure that assigned work area is clean and free of hazardous materials
- Ensure that all production deadlines are met
- Monitor equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly
- Affix labels, and other exterior details to products
- Observe Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy
- Ability to maintain production standards and work towards improving productivity without compromising quality
- Basic math skills
- Physical dexterity
- Great attention to detail
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing
- Exposure to high and/or low temperatures
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required
- Must be able to lift, carry and move up to 30 pounds at a time
