Phlebotomist Instructor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating students in phlebotomy.

Duties

• Teaching students the principles of phlebotomy, including anatomy, medical terminology, and laboratory safety.
• Demonstrating proper venipuncture, capillary puncture, and specimen collection techniques.
• Preparing and delivering engaging lectures, hands-on training sessions, and presentations.
• Assessing student performance through quizzes and assignments.
• Providing constructive feedback and guidance to improve student skills and confidence.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
• Monitoring student progress and offering additional support to those struggling with the material.
• Stay updated on laboratory procedures, equipment, and best practices in phlebotomy.
• Mentoring students on professionalism, communication, and patient care.

Experience
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of anatomy knowledge related to venipuncture and blood sampling techniques. Experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred, along with familiarity with laboratory procedures. Skills in specimen collection processing and an understanding of vital signs monitoring are advantageous. A commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care while employing effective communication skills is essential for success in this role. Phlebotomy Instructor or Lead Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.55 - $24.01 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week
