Unity Pediatrics, LLC is a pediatric medical practice that is looking for certified medical assistants who can multi-task and willing to learn. Full-time position available. Pediatric experience preferred. Duties include triaging patients, obtaining vitals, assisting physicians during visits, giving vaccines to children, obtaining and processing lab specimens. Must be able to handle moderate call volumes and schedule patients. Responsible, friendly, team-oriented candidates with great communication skills are encouraged to apply. Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Vaccine administration experience
- Graduate of accredited medical assistant training program-required
- Minimum 1 year experience in a pediatric medical setting-preferred
- EMR experience-required
- Fully vaccinated against COVID 19-prior to employment-required
Required skills:
- Check in patients, verify and update information in the patient’s medical record, schedule and confirm appointments.
- Competency in operating medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
- Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and head circumference on patients.
- Perform diagnostic testing including point of care testing, hearing and vision screening.
- Administer medications, immunizations, heel sticks, and finger sticks to infants and children.
- Collect, label, and process lab specimens.
- Document data collected and care provided via electronic medical record.
- Maintains patient files, records, and other information as needed.
- Prepare exam rooms for clinical visits.
- Restock supply room and maintain clinical and office supplies.
- Contribute to excellent patient satisfaction by maintaining professional communication with patients, family members, colleagues, and provide safe and quality care.
- Perform administrative duties in a timely and accurate manner. This includes: registering and verifying insurance for patients.
- Address all telephone communication promptly and courteously, including prescription refills, authorization requests, patient questions, scheduling changes, and emergency appointments.
- Obtain test results from hospitals, laboratories, radiologists, doctor offices, etc. as requested.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
- Interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain proper hand hygiene and all other accepted infection control practices.
- Comply with all HIPAA guidelines, policies, and procedures.
License/Certification:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
- BLS certification-preferred

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
