What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outreach Coordinator (Addictions) position at Unity Place of Atlantic County?
Addictions Outreach Coordinator
Externally outreach to targeted communities where opioid/alcohol addictions are causing substantial negative impact (e.g. college campuses). Develop contacts within those communities and share with those contacts the services provided by Unity Place of Atlantic County, and how those services can be leveraged to help those affected by substance/alcohol addictions. Build a rapport with guidance counselors, therapists and other health workers in those organizations. Share information regarding Unity Place of Atlantic County through presentations and discussions that inform them of the positive benefits of our programs and how it may be a fit for potential referrals who can benefit from these services.
Internally, engage with clients in a caring way to help clients maximize the benefits of program treatment. Provide encouragement and advocacy to help clients realize their treatment goals. Work with alumni of the Unity Place of Atlantic County programs to help get the word out to others who can also benefit from similar treatment venues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
