What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller (or CFO) position at Unity Search Group?
Unity Search has been exclusively engaged by a wealthy Dallas family with offices in the Irving / Las Colinas area to find a Family Office Controller (or CFO). The ideal candidate for this role would have 5 years of related experience with at least some exposure to working with wealthy families – either through directly working for a family office or working for a business that supports a family office (preferably with tax or audit work). CPA is strongly preferred. Most importantly, this person must have a sharp financial mind, great communication skills, and a desire for client service. This will be a very “hands on” role that reports directly to the family - helping the family with everything from Accounting to Reporting to Finance to Investment Analysis related to the families diverse investments across multiple industries and including investments in multiple PE and hedge funds. As such, the daily activities in this role will be very diverse, and you will truly have the ability to make an impact. Salary for this role will depend on experience but will probably fall in the $150K to $225K range Bonus. This person will also be able to co-invest with the family on certain business / investment opportunities.
