Unity Search has partnered with a 20 year old consumer services organization in the DFW Metroplex in search for a Commercial FP&A Manager. This company has a tremendous leader that has grown rapidly during their tenure there to head up the Finance function for the company. The company has doubled its locations to 2,000 within the last 5 years and still has plenty of room to continue their growth! The Finance group lives by the motto of “all growth rises” and promotes from within, there is ample room for this role to continue to their career growth as the business continues to grow!
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive financial assessments to evaluate business performance, spot trends, and offer actionable insights to senior management.
- Work alongside teams in Commercial Strategic Accounts, Marketing, Information Technology, and Operations to explore new opportunities, evaluate pricing strategies, determine costs, and analyze other financial metrics.
- Track and assess current and historical trends in key performance indicators, focusing on all revenue and cost of sales areas, while identifying trends and analyzing the causes of unexpected variances to promote accountability throughout the organization.
- Generate and present precise financial reports to senior leadership, emphasizing variances, risks, and opportunities by integrating various data sources. Ensure that all reports produced by the Commercial Finance Team are current, accurate, and automated.
- Offer strategic insights on initiatives and projects, providing financial guidance and ensuring alignment with overall financial objectives.
- Guide and nurture a team of Commercial Finance professionals, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and career advancement.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial goals and objectives by providing clear, data-driven metrics.
- Identify and evaluate financial risks, developing strategies to mitigate them by leveraging the Commercial Finance team and focusing on data-driven outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting
- 5 years of experience (minimum) working within a pricing/commercial finance role
- Good technical aptitude & experience with Excel based reporting tools (SQL, Power BI, etc.)
- Good communication, ability to work autonomously
