Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete payroll process, and ensure payroll is processed accurately and in compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Supervise and guide direct and indirect reports, managing their day-to-day payroll responsibilities.
- Work closely with HR, finance, and other departments to gather and verify payroll data, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary adjustments.
- Generate various payroll reports, including tax filings, benefits, deductions, and other compliance-related reports.
- Provide support and guidance to employees on payroll inquiries, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Uphold confidentiality and ensure data security for all payroll-related information.
Qualifications & Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field highly preferred.
- At least 7-10 years of experience in payroll management.
- Demonstrated experience leading a large payroll team of 10 or more employees.
- Expertise in hospitality payroll, including managing tips, bonuses, and commissions.
- Proficient in a variety of payroll software systems, with experience in their implementation and ongoing management.
- Strong understanding of financial principles in a public company, with the ability to reconcile payroll data with financial records.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
